Alister and Juta

Over the weekend Alister and I went to an Austin 7 ralley at the Glenfernate estate. Austin 7s are old vintage cars. Alister drove a quad bike with a dog in a basket/box on the quad bike behind him. On the Saturday we went up to Fealar a bigger estate above Glenfernate. We went up to the Fealar estate house and to get there we had to go up a very bumpy and rocky track, Alister and I were bouncing all over the place. On the Sunday we went to Pitlochry a small town in Scotland where we went shopping and then we went on a long run back to Glenfernate. I had a great time and I really look forward to my next adventure!

Hello everyone in Estonia! It has been so long since I talked to you because first we had long holidays and then the children have been doing exams. So it has been fairly quiet and serious here in Dundee. But now spring is here and we have had some really hot weather and people are in shorts and T-shirts and going down to the beach! last week I went to Fraser's house where we played a lot of music! First I helped Fraser to play the piano,because of course I am a really good player and then i listened to some songs on the MP3 player and the portable CDplayer.Wow! Then Fraser let me play on his guitar and before we went to bed each night we read some of his fantastic books! Next wek I am going to be showing you what our school is like here so you know where I am! I enjoy reading Murdo's adventures and hope to send you more news from Scotland soon. I visited Rene`s aunt. She lives in the country.
I helped her to drive out the cows from the cowhouse.

After that we layed the trees into pile.

And then we drove along the field on a tractor.

Murdo and Kristjan

Tere! (It means 'hello' in Estonian)

Kristjan likes rollerblading very much, so I went with him.
Kristjan likes to rollerblade in Pirita. Pirita is situated near the Baltic Sea. Kristjan's school is also near the Baltic Sea, so most of the time here is much windier than the other places in Estonia.

Kristjan's favourite activity is rollerblading, especially in summer.

Kristjan's family wants to buy a new car. They went seeing a new Nissan. They liked the test driving. All were satisfied with the new car's quality, so did Murdo :)

Hey guys!

Last week I spent at Kristin's home. She had a very lovely home.
On Thursday we went to play tennis with Kristin.
In this picture I was sitting in the ball box. That was so comfortable. Me and Kristin's mother were watching how her daughter was playing tennis.

Kristin got herself a new mp4 player. I was listening to the songs and they were cool!

On Saturday Kristin and her family had a big cleaning day. I and Kristin cleaned up her room.

On Saturday we were outside helping Kristin's father. He put 3 bird's boxes on the trees. I was peeking were they cosy and nice :) Yes, they were.

Murdo and Easter in Estonia

Hi!

Sorry I didn't write before, but I had to find all the eggs :)

Easter here is a bit different I think. Estonians don't hide the eggs, they only kick them togehter. Whose egg is fine, I mean is not broken, is the winner. But Mrs Laane's class hide some eggs just to please me.

Anyway, I spent my Easter with Iris family. Iris and her family taught me how to colour eggs. It was fun.

In this picture Iris taught me how to colour eggs. I looked so closely that I fell :)

In this picture you can see the egg I coloured myself (of course Iris helped me a bit, just only a bit).

I coloured all these eggs :), but this brownish one, this is Iris' grandmother's egg. She knows how to colour eggs so called old fashioned way. Old fashion colouring means that you use onion shell go get such brownish patter. I hope I remebered all the tricks and can colour eggs in Scotland too like I did here in Estonia.

Murdo's Week with Kevin

Hi everyone!

It’s Sunday night and my week with Kevin is soon to be over. I would like to look back to my favorite and the most exciting trip I’ve ever had.

Here I am in Estonian National Opera. I had a chance to see a new ballet

“SNOW WHITE AND THE 7 DWARFS”

Just an hour before the ballet started. I looked around in the opera house with Kevin and his dad.

Sweet kiss with Snow White. Ouuu that was really nice.

Scene from the ballet. I had a good opportunity to watch the show from backstage.

Here I am with Doc. Doc was my favorite character. Kevin liked him also. He was so cool. Don’t you think so?

This was one day with Kevin. The week bypassed quickly but I spent my time with Kevin’s family doing some cooking, playing Play Station and visiting ballet.

Molly and Juta

This is Broughty Ferry! It is where I was staying with Molly. Broughty Ferry is very pretty and has lots of old houses and great shops. If you look closly you can just see the Tay Bridge in the background! When it was built it was the longest in the world!

This the Howff Cemetry! It is a grave yard in the centre of Dundee. On the grave stones there are pictures of what the person who lies there used to work as hundreds of years ago. It is really spooky!

This is the Courier Building! It is across the road from our school. This is also the home of the Beano comics! The Courier Building is where all the newspapers are made.

This is me playing with that naughty girl Minnie the Minx! She is always in trouble in our favoutite comic the Beano.

On Tuesday I went to meet Desperate Dan! He likes to eat cow pies! Desperate Dan is from the Beano comics. They were made in Dundee and are famous all over Great Britain. Minnie the Minx stands behind Desperate Dan in the centre of our town trying to hit him with a catapult shot! What a naughty girl!

The grand Caird Hall! I wanted to go and see a big show but there was no time! So I just stood and looked at the grand building! I wonder who is performing here tonight? Many great stars perform in this building! Perhaps I'll be one of them before I come back to Estonia! Juta xxx

Dear Murdo, we are all a bit worried about your new appearance! Have you become a Hippy? We know life was a little boring for you in Scotland but we thought a trip to beautiful Estonia would do you good! Now you have gone to a desert island and changed your hair and are probably surfing every day and swimming in the sea! Your brothers and sisters are all a bit jealous because you look so trendy now, not just a little grey mouse any more, but a Time Traveller with secret wishes! Please take care of yourself ! Juta is having a great time doing all sorts of things but we don't have holidays for another three weeks so she has to be patient for adventures while the children are still all learning their lessons! Hello everyone!

It has been a long time since my last entry in the blog. I do have a story to tell this time, so here it goes...

I, as all the people in the whole wide world, have my inner mysterious wishes. One day I decided to do something to fulfil my wishes.

I stepped into my jackboots which allowed me to travel fast through time. I, the little animal suddenly ended up in the time machine.

As the appearance of me tells you, I had gone through a huge change and even the place I am at, is a bit different – a tropical island, that is.

What was my inner wish? That you do not know, but it certainly was connected with the changes in my appearance. Only faith and courage help me to achieve it.

That is what I have been doing lately. I and the Estonian children are on holiday at the moment. About the holiday I'll tell you later.

George & Yuta

When I was with George we had a great time.I didn't get to George's house until Wednesday when George had rugby.I didn't want to get my fur dirty so I stayed in my box.On Thursday I met everyone in George's family.On Friday we went to Cairnie Fruit Farm.I had great fun going on the crazy bug ride and I got lost in the maze but got found. Unfortunately we forgot the camera so we didn't take any pictures. On Saturday I went to Ju Jitsu with George and his brother. All the people looked pretty scary so I stayed in George's bag. On Sunday it was George's birthday and the cake tasted really good and we all had great fun! The whole week was very tiring and we all had a good time. Especially me.I hope everyone at home is feeling ok.Lots of love from Juta.

Juta and Rhyan

When I was with Rhyan I took the job of being a lifeguard when we went to Broughty Ferry near Dundee to visit its famous castle. Fortunately nobody was drowning that day so I didn't have a lot of swimmimng to do! Then I went into Broughty Ferry Castle where there were lots of interesting things to look at. I saw whale harpoons which were used long ago to capture whales and bring them back to Dundee for whale oil to use in making jute. There was a massive piece of grass to play on with a play park called Castle Green. I had great fun on the swings, slides and the Castle Mound round-abouts. We went for tea before going home after another great visit! Love from Rhyan and Juta.

George and Juta

I arrived at George's house on Wednesday when George had rugby, it was very rough and muddy and I didn't want to get dirty so I stayed in my box.On Thursday I stayed at home and watched the Simpsons. On Friday I went to Cairnie Fruit Farm but we forgot the camera so no pictures that day! On Saturday George had Ju Jitsu(which is a type of martial arts) and it was pretty scary so I stayed in George's bag! Harry and Juta on Burn's Night

Harry took me home with him for a very special occasion in Scotland which is the celebration of our national poet's birthday. He was called Robert Burns and he wrote many wonderful poems and songs. We always have a special meal which is called Haggis, and Burns liked it so much he even wrote a poem "To a Haggis "which is strange because it is all sorts of meat mixed with oatmeal and cooked in a sheep's stomach! The haggis is always piped into the room by a piper playing the bagpipes. Here you can see me trying to have a go! Harry is learning to play the pipes so he can pipe the Haggis in when he is older. Then we sit down and eat the haggis with potatoes and turnips just like Robert Burns would have done. Here I am with my meal!

Then we had lots of singing, dancing and retelling of some of Burns' poetry and it all ended with a "wee dram", al ittle drink of good whisky! I went to bed very happy and am learning more and more about Scotland every day! Love to everyone, Juta.xxx

Murdo's Week with Eva

Murdo spent his weekend with Eva. They had a wonderful time. Eva had swimming competition and Murdo enjoyed his position as a spectator.

Later in the Saturday evening Eva, her little sister Liisbeth andMurdo visited grandmother and had together wonderful playful night, drinking hot chocolate and eating Evas favourite ice cream. During the weekend Murdo got many new friends with whom he wanted to have pictures taken."

Juta & Euan

Sorry to all my friends in Estonia for being so quiet recently, but I have been very busy doing all sorts of different things in Scotland! On Sunday, I went with Euan to a town called St. Andrews in Fife for a day out. We had a picnic lunch and then went to visit the famous castle! Euan and I had great fun exploring all the ruins and playing hide and seek behind the huge stones of the castle. The castle was built in 1200 and has been used for manuy things - a palace, a prison, a workplace and a fortress. I was very frightened that I might fall into the famous Bottle Dungeon but Euan held onto me tightly! Only one person is ever known to have escaped from it!
Next we went to the cathedral. It was going to be hard work climbing up St Rule's Tower but the view from the top would be worth it. However it was closed! So we all went to have a strawberry ice-cream to cheer us up! Then we went for a game of golf on the famous "Old Course" at St Andrew's Golf Club where golf is supposed to have first been played. I spent a lot of time in the bunkers! Then I hit my ball onto the famous Swilken Bridge and nearly fell in trying to get my ball out of the water. Wewent home tired but happy! I fell asleep in the car on my way home and look forward to going back to St Andrew's another day! Love to you all at home, Juta.

Hi fellows!
How have you been? Haven't heard from you a while. Tell me how's the life in Scotland?

Here in Estonia I have found so many friends and last week I got to know another friends at Martina's place. My new friends were protecting me from Martina's cat who tried to chase me all the time because he found it interesting to catch Scottish mouse :)
Anyway at the end of this week we became friends and he told me that usually miece and cats in Estonia aren't so good friends as we beacame.

In this picture you can see how Martina's cat explained me about the relations between Estonian cats and miece.

Also Martina had an exciting week, she and her class went skating. It was fun. Martina's classmates taught to their teacher how to skate. Actually Mrs Laane knew how to skate but she hadn't skate so long and she needed to refresh her skills. Luckily their teacher didn't fall and everyone there were happy.

Hello to everyone!

I had a very busy week with Robert! It was quite could outside and it was freezing to ride with bike to his Judo trainings every day, but we survived because we drunk tea with honey every evening and because of that we didn`t catch the cold!

Finally when we had a little bit of free time, after learning and visiting practice ,then we played with psp. It was really fun.

In the afternoon we went to a christmas café at Saga's old kindergarden, Piilupesa. I just love the things they've done there, gingerbread houses, Santa Claus, the lemonade tasted also alright.

Oh, this morning was tough, had to get up at 5am! Singing Luciasongs with lights on my head! But it was fun, a new experience. In the late afternoon I went with Saga to her training, she is doing circustraining, wow how she can bend her body! And after that straight ahead to look at a traditional Swedish lucia celebration in the Swedish church in Old Town, Tallinn, beautiful.

Been on a trip with the class to a christmasplace, Kotkuland, situated near Paide, that´s the city that´s called „the heart of Estonia“ because you´re in the middle of Estonia when you´re in Paide.

Saturday 14 Dec

Went to see a competition, girls competing in rollerskating. Girls were in lovely, and some funny, dresses, spinning around! Had pizza for lunch, jummi! Circustraining in the evening, 5pm - 8pm.

Baking ginger cookings and decorating them, It´s so fun!

Monday 17 Dec

Sick today, in bed all day playing gameboy, and some TV-watching.

Tuesday 18 Dec

School! Went with the local bus from school to home in the afternoon. Last night with Saga, tomorrow new adventures!

On Saturday Juta came home with me , Zoe and was cooking very , very tasty cup cakes. She was a good girl and followed all of the instructions. She had so much fun! She didn't want to stop but she had to!

It was nearly bed time but she really wanted to meet some of my other teddies I could hardly say no!She made really good friends with them in the week and sadly she had to say goodbye to them. she had great fun with them!

It was getting late , Juta was tired ,so she went to bed. She got all cosed in and fell asleep! Juta felt really refreshed for a new day!

It was 5:00 tea time! Juta was very hungry! so she had spaghetti hoops she loved them!

Hi guys!

It's cold and windy here in Estonia. Sometimes it's snowing too. I mostly spent my time inside the house because Marti felt a bit tired. But I did listen to the music and watched movies, I enjoyed it very much.

Marti and Estonians were celebrating the 'kadripäev' (Kadri's Day) this weekend. It's mostly the same as yours Halloween. Kids will wear white clothes and will visit neighbours and will sing or dance. It was fun to see Kadris here, my first time.

Juta went to Glamis Castle and she had a brilliant time there.She saw the inside of the castle and in the dungeons. When Juta saw all the heads of animals on the walls she was terrifide of them! The reason she saw the heads on the walls was that Glamis Castle was a shooting lodge before it became a castle.

Juta also went to see all the wild life at Glamis like the highland cows and calves, espesially Toffee who is one of the famous highland cows, and is even mentioned in some books. She also went on a wander in the woods where all the lovely birds were tweeting like the Wood-pecker. She also took a strole in the beautiful gardens.
Juta had a lovely time at Glamis Castle and she made a new friend Toffee.

Glamis is in Angus or some may call it Forfarshire.

On Wednessday 14th November.I Fraser, took Juta home but I had to go to after school rugby. So I took Juta with me and she joined in and scored a try.

On Thursday 15th November, I took her to Tae-Kwondo. She was fighting me and hitting pads. When I got home I was about to break a board she had to cover her eyes with her ears as she thought I was going to hurt myself.

On Friday 16thNovember. I took her to Cubs and we had fun and played games.

On Saturday 17th November she was so tired from the events on the past few days she just chilled out and talked to her new friends! Bye for now!

I went at Helen's friend birthday party. Her friend held it at so called play room where I met a really huge bunny.

I wanted to swim but the sea is so freezing here at the moment so I decided to dive into the sea of balls. It was fun! Birthday party guests enjoyed it too.
By the way I ate a very delicious birthday cake here with strawberries and cream, yammy!

Juta first went to the Harvest festival at church and sat by all the vegetables and corn and gifts. Juta then went to the ice rink in Forfar to see my mum go curling. Juta sat on a curling stone on the ice! It was freezing! Juta came home with me and watched the Rugby World Cup! Juta then held my mini rugby ball. After the world cup Juta sat on my trombone, sat on the piano and behind a violin.

I am here in Estonia at last. The trip was very long and tiresome. Mrs Laane picked me up in the post office on Monday and I was raffled to Kristin. She was so happy to get me because the whole class was expecting me, and they were worried where I had been so long. So, this week I am spending with her. Nessie has finally arrived!

Hello boys and girls!

I am happy to announce you all that I arrived to Estonia at last. It took me almost 2 months to get here. Mrs Laane brought me from post office on Monday. I was very excited because it was snowing here.
I am settleing in right now. Today I learnt how to write comments at bear blog with Mrs Laane's class. It was very interesting. Also I got to know that you were worried about me because you thought I was lost. And you sent 2 other bears look for me. But here I am :)

Juts At A Car Rally

Juta safely arrived in Scotland and sends many greetings to her friends in Estonia! She began her holiday by travelling about 200 miles around the country in a very old car! It was an "MG" and was built in 1931 so Juta had a very bumpy ride!

She was taken to some very beautiful parts of Scotland where she stopped by the peaceful silver lochs and had a picnic.

She spent a lot of time in the sunshine looking at the mountains of this new country.

Juta was also taken on a sailing trip around the Western Isles leaving from a town called Oban.

She was a Sadler 34 called "Ceol Na Mara " which means Music of the Sea in Gaelic.

Juta enjoyed steering the boat out into the Sound of Mull. The weather was very sunny and calm. During the whole trip Juta stayed in a beautiful hotel on the shores of Loch Leven. It was quiet and peaceful but we also had a very enjoyable party!

Juta drove all the way back to Dundee in the old car and was really excited about her first visit to Scotland! She hopes to tell you all about everything she sees and does very soon! Bye Bye for now to everyone at home!

The Lost Bears

We are a little worried back here in Scotland that two of our bears have not reached their destination in Estonia. Have they decided to take the long route around the world rather than fly direct to Tallinn? Are they having fun somewhere else that they have forgotten to finish their journeys? Maybe they joined the circus and are travelling the world showing off their amazing talents!

Mrs Goddard and Mrs Powrie decided that action was required and recruited two new bears to send to Estonia. After some discussion...

Daisy and MacDonald decided to have a look around the world to see if they could see the lost bears.

There guess is they might have stopped at DisneyLand in Paris and are having too much fun. Daisy and MacDonald are going to stop by Disney on their way to Estonia to make sure the bears are not there. Let's hope Daisy and MacDonald don't get caught up in the celebrations at Disney too!!!
